Come join us for this regional workshop and learn from the best! NCAAHE and NCPEA are partnering to host this regional workshop for both health educators and physical educators. National presenters Charla Tedder-Kranke and Amy Prior will host half-day sessions where you can choose your session. Standards Based Disc Games/Skill Assessments and Drills

Would you like to be able to improve class behavior and attendance, make students responsible for their own learning, and add peer, self and teacher assessments to your curriculum? The Sport Education model can be used to add assessments to your instruction. Ultimate Frisbee activities will be used to show these assessments and Sport Education in action. Follow up on the workshop with Sport Education Seasons and assistance. (.3 CEU's in technology or literacy for half-day, .6 for whole day)

Health Education Presentation

Amy Prior and Mary McCarley, presenters 

In this session we will examine components skills-based health education with an emphasis on health literacy and how our North Carolina Essential Standards align with this model. We will conclude the session with examples of how you can apply this model in your classroom from our NCAAHE and SHAPE SD Teacher of the Year, Mary McCarley. (.3 CEU's in literacy for half-day session)
