Keith Kraemer

Candidate for Vice President of NC SHAPE

 

Keith Kraemer has served 22 years in education. Keith earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education from Wingate University. For 15 years, he served as a Physical Education Teacher. He is currently in his seventh year as a District Level Resource Teacher working for a large, urban school district. Keith has made several contributions to the Health and PE profession during his tenure, such as earning Action Based Learning Certification in 2016; co-creating B3: Brain. Body. Behavior.; and serving as a co-host of the Pizza & PE Podcast that he helped develop.  

Keith has presented at numerous local, state, and national conferences since 2015, highlighting the significance of integrating movement with core content instruction and providing participants with research-based strategies and resources to improve the quality of physical education. Moreover, Keith's mission is to share the science of Adverse Childhood Experiences to enhance teachers’ aptitude with providing trauma-informed support for students; he is passionate about addressing the physical and emotional needs of children and helping them learn coping strategies as they work to overcome adversity.
