NCAAHPERD-SM is hosting a 1,019-mile virtual race powered by Racery to fund the 2017 Student Majors' retreat and to increase the number of attendee scholarships for the 2017 NCAAHPERD-SM convention. Our goal is to raise $5,000 - help us exceed this!

Here’s how it works for walkers/runners:

1. Over the course of 36 days, NCAAHPERD-SM community (non-members and friends are welcome) will compete, in teams of up to 5, by logging daily miles walked/ran to advance their team avatar along a 1,019-mile virtual route around the state of North Carolina.
2. Miles can be completed virtually anywhere, but must be logged on the virtual race page or in the RaceryApp to count!
3. Daily progress is tracked in real-time on the map and through team and individual leaderboards.
4. Individual workouts are commemorated with streak and achievement notifications, as well as 360-degree views of your team’s current locale each time you log miles.
5. Awesome digital award placards that are optimized for social media sharing will be awarded for individual and team accomplishments at the completion of the race!

Members and the general public are welcome to participate, so challenge your friends!

$10 Early Registration: 8/22 - 9/9

$15 Regular Registration: 9/10 - 9/30

$20 Late Registration: 10/1 - 10/15

$3 of each registration goes to cover Racery’s platform and service fee.

If you wish to contribute an additional amount, please do so with the “Support NCAAHPERD-SM” option. 100% of these donations will go directly to NCAAHPERD-SM.

Here’s how it works for sponsors:

1. On the virtual race donations page, select if you want to sponsor an individual, team, or the entire NCAAHPERD-SM initiative.
2. Enter the amount you would like to contribute. (The total will be divided amongst all racers in the category you selected, unless you’re sponsoring an individual). Track the fundraising effort and your donor leaderboard status on the race pageor in the app.
3. Help support other racers by liking and commenting on their activity feed!
