Accomodations

NCAAHPERD-SM is proud to host the PELT at the Trinity Conference Center located in Pine Knoll Shores, North Carolina. Nestled in a pristine maritime forest on the Outer Banks, the center extends from Bogue Sound to the Atlantic Ocean and provides a variety of modern facilities and comfortable accommodations. A mild climate and award-winning landscaping, designed with sensitivity to the island environment, provide peaceful and restful surroundings. Comfortable lounge areas with fireplaces, refrigerators, and ice makers, and delicious home cooked meals served buffet and family style provide the perfect environment for stimulating fellowship with other North Carolina educators.

The Center's guest rooms and dorms are nestled within the natural beauty and tranquillity of the maritime forest. Guest rooms have a private bath, double and single beds and are individually heated and cooled. Trinity Center dormitories are sub-divided into 2 large sleeping quarters and includes a bathroom, screened porch and private center room.

What to Pack and What to Wear

When packing for the PELT, be sure to bring clothing suitable for participation in physical activity because our awesome presenters will have plenty of new and exciting activities to take back to share with your students.

Otherwise, pack just as you would for a two-night stay at the beach in the spring. Spring weather on the Crystal Coast varies greatly.

Other items you might want to consider bringing include a flashlight. The flashlight may prove handy for evening activities.
