Executive Director, Dr. Donna Woolard

The Alliance Board of Directors has positively affirmed Dr. Woolard as the Alliance’s Executive Director. Donna is a long-time board member and past president with over 30 years of experience as a coach, teacher and department chair. Having been honored by NCAAHPERD, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) and the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), we are very lucky to have a talent such as Dr. Woolard leading us into the future.

Communications and Member Services Coordinator, Martina Barnett

Having been with NCAAHPERD since August 2010, Martina has been promoted to serve in this capacity. A 2009 graduate of Elon University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Corporate Communications, Martina has over five years of experience in the field of public relations, customer service, fundraising and social media marketing. Martina looks forward to coupling her experiences from the past year at NCAAHPERD with fresh ideas to best serve the needs of the organization.

Office and Member Services Administrator, Aimee Scott

Aimee comes to us as a recent graduate of Campbell University with a Bachelor of Science degree and teaching licenses in Physical Education and Special Education. As a member of NCAAHPERD, she has attended state and national conventions, the Student Leadership Retreat and was an active member of the Student Majors Association. Aimee is excited to be on the team of such an influential organization and looks forward to seeing NCAAHPERD help others in our field.

Event Management Intern, Alisen Scott

Alisen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hospitality Management with a concentration in Conventions and Special Events from East Carolina University. She will be interning with the Alliance to aid in making this year’s convention an even bigger success.

In addition to our new hires, our remaining staff members’ roles and job titles have been modified to satisfy the ever-evolving needs of the organization and to depict a more accurate picture of what we each bring to the table to serve NCAAHPERD.
