NCAAHPERD Entertains Southern District Representatives
During the Southern District Convention's Representative Assembly, President Vic Aeby invited the Southern District to Charlotte, North Carolina for the 2013 joint state, district, and national AAHPERD 2013 Convention. As is traditional, the North Carolina contingent gave out tokens representing state icons such as NASCAR, barbeque, 4-wheeling, and Carolina beaches. Several NCAAHPERD members in attendance assisted President Aeby with his invitation by holding up a token and explaining its place in Tarheel tradition. The presentation started with Anne Wiggin and Carol Smith playing a humerous version of "The NASCAR Song" and Linda Harrill Rudisill's call of "Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engines!" It ended with Freddie-Lee Heath getting the the audience on their feet and swaying in time to James Taylor's "Carolina in My Mind".
