NCAAE Mission

The purpose of the North Carolina Association for Athletic Education (NCAAE) is to provide learning experiences for athletic educators, which will assist them in attaining and maintaining the knowledge and skills to provide optimum athletic education for their students.

NCAAE Awards

NCAAE awards are presented at the NCAAHPERD-SM Convention!  Come and join us as we honor our award winners! We are very proud of them, and we know you will be too!

Deadline:  The deadline for all NCAAHPERD-SM awards is May 1st of the current year.

Please take a minute to think of coaches and athletic directors you feel are deserving of recognition.

NCAAE Annually Recognizes:

Criteria:

  • Coaches of the Year must be members of the NCAAE and NC SHAPE.
  • Membership in the NCAAE and NC SHAPE is not required of Athletic Director of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Award honorees.
  • All NCAAE award recipients must show dedication to attaining and maintaining the knowledge and skills to provide optimum athletic education for their students.
  • Honorees should also demonstrate an understanding and appreciation for continuing education for athletic educators.
