The purpose of the North Carolina Association for Athletic Education (NCAAE) is to provide learning experiences for athletic educators, which will assist them in attaining and maintaining the knowledge and skills to provide optimum athletic education for their students.
The NFHS provides online courses covering content from all eight domains contained in the National Standards for Sport Coaches (NASPE 2006).
Registration is free and provides access to all online coaching courses. Currently, the Learning Center provides nine sport-specific courses, as well as "Concussions in Sports", "The Role of Parents", and "Sportsmanship" with more free courses to come.
The NFHS Learning Center offers coaches the opportunity to become nationally certified through the NFHS "Accredited Interscholastic Coach" certification program.
Coaches can also receive college credits and CEUS for online coursework.
Registration also provides free access to the "Locker Room" link which includes helpful links, articles, and downloads for coaches.
The Alliance partners with other organizations that have common goals and interests. We encourage you to support their work as well as ours as together we strive to create a healthier, more creative, and active North Carolina.
