2022 NC SHAPE Vice Presidential Election: A Vote of Confirmation

The election opened Monday, October 24. It ends at noon Friday, October 28.  The results will be announced at the NC SHAPE Convention during the All Members Business Meeting. The business meeting is at 4:15 pm in Winston 2.

On Monday, October 24, professional and retired members ere emailed a unique ballot ID and a link to a webpage where they can cast their vote. The ballot ID can only be used to vote once. The ballot ID  assures your vote remains anonymous.

There are 3 choices on the ballot. You may vote yes or no to confirm Jenn Vedder as the NC SHAPE Vice President. If you don't want to vote yes or no, you may abstain.

Candidate for Vice President of NC SHAPE 

Jenn Vedder is an Army veteran and has been an educator for over 20 years at the graduate, undergraduate, and K-12 levels. Jenn serves as an OPEN National Trainer for Varsity Brands, US Games & BSN Sports, where she leads teachers from around the country in learning best practices involving inclusion, mental and emotional wellness, and physical fitness. In addition, Jenn serves as a Facilitator for Virginia Ed Strategies where her mission is to support CTE, science, math, and history teachers in their growth as educators and in their development of best practices surrounding equity, inclusive practices, and social and emotional learning in their classrooms. Jenn currently serves as the Health and Physical Education Specialist for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Jenn is an adjunct professor at Old Dominion University and John Tyler Community College where she works with the Schools of Continuing Education to teach Career Switchers entering the teaching profession. Prior to moving to Charlotte, Jenn taught in Virginia Beach, Virginia where she also served on the district Social and Emotional Learning Implementation Team as the team lead for Student Voice and Leadership.. Jenn was active in the Virginia Association for Health, Physical Education, and Dance (VAHPERD) where she served as a lead for the Structure and Function committee and as the Membership Coordinator for Region 2. Jenn was the 2020 Virginia Adapted Physical Educator of the Year and is passionate about inclusive practices and quality PE for all. Jenn is married to an Army veteran and has 5 children.
