What's New > NCAAHPERD is now NCAAHPERD-SM
The proposed revisions to the NCAAHPERD constitution were approved at the Business Meeting held in conjunction with the annual fall convention held in Raleigh this past November. Chief among the approved changes was the name change. NCAAHPERD is now the North Carolina Alliance for Athletics, Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Dance and Sport Management (NCAAHPERD-SM).
As explained by President Carol Smith, the name was changed to be more inclusive of all members of our state professional association. Now sport management students, educators, and professionals can be assured that they have a valued place among the membership of NCAAHPERD-SM
Please have patience with us as we make the transition from NCAAHPERD to NCAAHPERD-SM. The new name will require rebranding and a great deal of editing of the NCAAHPERD-SM website!

Our vision is to be the leading organization promoting and supporting a healthier, more creative, and active North Carolina."
