Physical Education Stories & Survey Help Needed!

by Artie Kamiya, posted on April 13, 2018

NCAAHPERD-SM and the North Carolina Alliance for Health are seeking assistance from K-12 physical education teachers.  Please read below:

We want your input! This year, we are working to ensure all students have access to effective physical education (PE) programs. PE offers the best opportunity to provide physical activity to all students and to teach them the skills and knowledge needed to establish and sustain an active lifestyle. It has many benefits, including improving academic performance and classroom behavior; improving self-confidence; reducing depression and anxiety; lower chronic absenteeism; and teaching healthy habits for life.

We are gathering stories about PE programs across the state and we would love to hear yours! The survey will take about 5 minutes of your time and you can choose whether to provide your name and contact information. If you do, your name will be entered into a raffle to win PE equipment for your school! Please note that you must complete the survey by May 15 to be eligible for the raffle.

Will you take a few minutes to share your story?

Sincerely,

Artie Kamiya, Ivy Ferrell, and Morgan Wittman Gramann
